Artificial Scientific Discovery in Quantum Physics

The integration of artificial intelligence into scientific research is reshaping discovery across disciplines, and quantum physics is emerging as one of the most promising areas for this transformation. The vast combinatorial space of possible experimental configurations, combined with the counterintuitive nature of quantum phenomena, makes it extremely difficult to identify new designs based on human intuition alone. At the same time, the rapidly growing scientific literature has reached a scale at which extracting meaningful insights or generating new ideas is increasingly challenging, especially across fields. In this talk, I will show how AI can help design new quantum experiments and generate research ideas. These approaches can accelerate progress in quantum physics and contribute to scientific discovery more broadly.
