We are offering a PhD position in the field of experimental quantum communication and quantum photonics at the University of Vienna. We are looking for a highly motivated candidate to join our team in designing and demonstrating state-of-the-art quantum communication devices and protocols.

The PhD project will be carried out in the research group of Prof. Philip Walther, with Prof. Borivoje Dakić providing theoretical support as co-supervisor. The research involves close collaboration with industry partners and focuses on the development and implementation of novel quantum communication protocols that go beyond standard quantum key distribution (QKD).
