Open PostDoc Position

02.10.2025

The Quantum Information Science and Quantum Computing group at the University of Vienna invites applications for a postdoctoral position in the field of spin-photon dynamics in quantum emitters. The successful candidate will join an active and collaborative research environment focused on advancing quantum information science and quantum computing.

The research

The postdoc will contribute to ongoing research activities in the group, with a focus on exploring spin-photon dynamics in quantum emitters. The role involves setting up and conducting experiments with a newly acquired magnetic cryostat, enabling cutting-edge investigations into spin-photon interfaces. The candidate will also have the opportunity to collaborate with Ph.D. students and other researchers in the group, contributing to the supervision and development of related projects.

Requirements

  • Doctoral degree/PhD degree in Physics
  • Professional competence in quantum optics with spin-photon interfaces
  • Didactic competence: motivated to teach and communicate knowledge to students
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English
  • IT user skills
  • Excellent ability to work in a team

Application Process

Please submit your application via e-mail to walther-office@univie.ac.at as one single PDF document.
